- Key Account Manager – Business Development

Ebek is one of the largest Cambridge English Authorised Exam Centres in India and has now expanded its operations into Sri Lanka through Amrak Ebek, our Sri Lankan entity managed in partnership with Durdans Hospitals PLC. Amrak Ebek is authorised by Cambridge University Press & Assessment to promote and administer Cambridge English Qualifications across Sri Lanka. In addition, we represent BOOKR Class, an award-winning digital reading platform from Hungary that helps young learners develop literacy and English language proficiency through interactive reading experiences.

Role Purpose
You will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships with private, international, government, and semi-government educational institutions throughout Sri Lanka.
Your role will focus on:
- Business development
- Relationship management
- Customer acquisition and retention
- Educational consultancy focused on improving English language proficiency among young learners.
- Promoting Cambridge English Qualifications and BOOKR Class as preferred learning solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and provide insights to support business growth.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with schools, universities, government institutions, NGOs and corporate partners.
- Manage and expand existing customer accounts.
- Deliver executive-level presentations and solution consultations.
- Promote Cambridge English Qualifications and BOOKR Class.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and CRM database.
- Achieve agreed sales and revenue targets.
- Represent the organisation at educational conferences, exhibitions and networking events.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure outstanding customer experience.
Requirements
We're looking for individuals with:
- 2–3 years of experience in Key Account Management, Educational Services, Corporate Sales or a related field.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
- Confidence engaging with senior decision-makers including school principals, vice principals, university leadership and government officials.
- A passion for education and lifelong learning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, English, Linguistics or a related discipline.
- A Master's degree will be an added advantage.
- Experience within the education sector will be highly regarded but is not essential for exceptional candidates.
