As part of our 25th Anniversary journey, The Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID), the apex body for corporate governance and director development in Sri Lanka, is seeking an experienced, energetic, and highly organized professional to join its Secretariat.
ASSISTANT MANAGER – OPERATIONS & EVENTS
Reporting to the Manager – Operations & Events, the selected candidate will support the coordination of Secretariat operations, membership services, training programmes, events, and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the SLID Secretariat.
- Support membership administration, including registrations, renewals, database updates, and member communications.
- Assist in planning and executing SLID events, forums, conferences, training programmes, and member engagements.
- Coordinate logistics for events including registrations, venues, vendors, and delegate management.
- Support Board Leadership Training (BLT), masterclasses, and other director development programmes.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and databases.
- Assist in office administration, procurement, and coordination with service providers.
- Liaise with members, partners, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Support the Manager and CEO in operational and administrative tasks as required.
- Contribute to improving service delivery and member experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Event Management, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in operations, events, membership management, administration, or project management.
- Experience managing large-scale corporate events, conferences, forums, or professional body activities will be a distinct advantage.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and AI productivity tools.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver under pressure.
- Preferred age group: 30 – 50 years.
