As a Manager Gold Loan Operations, you will oversee day-to-day gold loan operations to ensure compliance with approved policies, control frameworks, and regulatory requirements. The role involves supervising pawn operations, gold valuation and documentation controls, monitoring operational risks including over dues, auctions, and NPLs, and coordinating audits and compliance reviews to ensure timely corrective actions. You will be responsible for reviewing gold loan operational reports to identify risks and ensure strong governance, effective controls, and operational effectiveness. The position reports to the Senior Manager-Branch Operations within the Non-Banking Financial Services sector.

THE JOB ROLE
- Oversee day-to-day gold loan operations ensuring adherence to approved policies and control frameworks.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements,audit standards, and internal operational policies.
- Supervise pawn operations, gold valuation controls, documentation accuracy, and security procedures.
- Monitor operational risk, portfolio quality, overdue accounts, auctions, and NPL-related operational controls.
- Coordinate internal audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory inspections; address findings and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Provide operational guidance and training to branch staff to strengthen process discipline, control awareness, and compliance culture.
- Analyze gold loan operational reports and exception summaries to detect risks and report significant issues to management.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in gold loan operations or a similar credit/operations role within a bank or non-banking financial institution, with managerial or supervisory exposure.
- Strong knowledge of gold loan products, pawn operations, NPL management, auctions, AML, and compliance frameworks.
- Proven leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple branches. Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
