About the Role
We’re looking for a motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. You’ll assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and learn from experienced chefs while contributing to the smooth running of our new café’s kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes
- Ensure kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment are kept clean and organized
- Follow hygiene and safety standards at all times
- Support the Head Chef and other team members as needed
- Learn and develop new culinary skills on the job
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or relevant culinary training (preferred but not essential)
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow in a professional kitchen environment
