Manager - Data Protection and Information Security
- Develop and implement data protection / information security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities in information security.
- Manage incident response planning, including the investigation of security breaches and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities in information security.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security measures are integrated into the organization's technology and business processes.
- Provide training and awareness programs for employees on data protection and information security best practices.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of security measures and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and partners, on data protection and information security matters.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging threats, and technological advancements in data protection
The Person
- A minimum of 8 years of experience out of which 4 years in Information Security.
- Full or part completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security or equivalent qualification from a recognized professional body.
- Sound knowledge in data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) and best practices.
- Certifications related to CIPP, CISM, CISA, CISSP would be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, interpretational skills and problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala both verbal and written
