Production Engineer / Senior Production Engineer
Job Profile
Manage projects within the Operations, ensuring timely project completion according to customer expectations. Continuously scout, design and implement new manufacturing technology in operations to provide a competitive edge, improving productivity, quality, flexibility, reliability and cost. The candidate will be a part of Production Engineering team managed by the Lead Production Engineer.
The Person:
If you are dynamic, experienced and knowledgeable person who wants to help drive the business forward, your main responsibilities will encompass;
- Undertake Product transfer initiatives by sister sites, ensuring a successful and on-time completion of each project.
- Review existing/new plants production processes to identify engineering & automation opportunities and solutions along with a cost benefit analysis.
- Prepare proposals & capex for automation & engineering projects, identify potential vendors, work with them to develop a detailed solution based on requirements, constraints, timeline, budget & resources.
- Explore and implement continuous improvement initiatives to yield a Lean manufacturing environment.
- Provide accurate and detailed reports, presentations and communications to both internal personnel and external customers/suppliers as required
- Ensure compliance to all H&S standards as well as all QMS requirements as per AS9100D
- Ensure continual familiarization with the latest advancements in the industries technology to ensure continual improvement in plant performance
Key Position Requirements
Education
- Candidate must possess bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Job Experience
- Minimum 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and production workflows.
- Experience in lean manufacturing, Kaizen or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and engineering documents.
- Proficiency in ERP systems is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with quality standards (ISO 9001 /AS9100)
