Intern - Packaging Design and Procurement
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Packaging Development Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for a candidate with a background or strong interest in procurement and graphic design, who is eager to gain hands-on experience in packaging innovation, supplier coordination, and artwork development.
You will support the development of packaging solutions that are cost-effective, functional, and visually appealing while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of packaging materials (labels, cartons, and promotional packs)
- Support artwork creation and adaptation in line with brand guidelines
- Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to source packaging materials and obtain quotations
- Maintain and update packaging specifications and documentation
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify packaging trends and innovations
- Support cost analysis and optimization initiatives related to packaging
- Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, quality assurance, and production
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and sustainability requirements
Candidate Profile
- An undergraduate or recently completed a degree in IT or Supply Chain from a recognized University
- Basic knowledge of design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Good Eye for attention to details (for proof reading, colour matching etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- High level of communication and negotiation skills
