The Job:
- Manage a team of Business Development Officers to meet individual and team targets
- Identify and develop new lending opportunities within the industry
- Maintain relationships with existing clients and identify areas for growth
- Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve their targets
- Analyze market trends and adjust strategies as needed
The Person:
- A full or part qualification in Banking or a recognized qualification in Sales/Marketing from an acceptable institution
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is an added advantage
- A minimum of 5 - 6 years of work experience in business development role in a banking or financial context, with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Experience in a leadership role focused on sales or lending is highly advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation and sales skills
- Knowledge of local market conditions and competitor activities
