SUMMARY
- We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Technical Lead (AI, Software) to provide both hands-on technical leadership and people management for our AI engineering team. This role is responsible for architecting scalable AI solutions while leading, mentoring, and growing a high-performing team of engineers. You will play a critical role in aligning technology strategy with business goals and ensuring the successful delivery of AI-driven products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP)
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of AI/ML-based software systems.
- Define and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and system design principles.
- Oversee the end-to-end AI lifecycle, including data pipelines, model development, deployment, and monitoring.
- Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and high-performing in production environments.
- Stay current with emerging trends in AI, machine learning, and software engineering and drive adoption where relevant.
TEAM LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of AI/software engineers.
- Manage resource planning, task allocation, and performance reviews.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and accountable team culture.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of top engineering talent.
PROJECT & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
- Work closely with product managers, data teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Drive project planning, prioritization, and timely delivery of key initiatives.
- Communicate technical concepts and progress effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant exposure to AI/ML systems.
- Proven track record in delivering production-grade AI applications.
- Prior experience in team leadership or people management roles.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Rust, CUDA, C#, and Dart
- Solid understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and data engineering concepts.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
- Experience with MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience with generative AI, NLP, or computer vision applications.
- Knowledge of AI governance, ethics, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in agile development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
