We are looking for an experienced Procurement Lead to own and drive end-to-end procurement strategy and execution across CAPEX, IT, Projects, and Administrative Services within our e-commerce business. The role will be responsible for building a high-performing procurement function, optimizing costs, ensuring vendor compliance, and enabling business growth through effective sourcing strategies and strong stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies across key categories including:
- CAPEX: Capital equipment, infrastructure, automation, and expansion-related investments.
- IT: Hardware, software licenses, SaaS subscriptions, and telecom solutions.
- Projects: New warehouse/fulfillment center setups, fit-outs, and expansion projects.
- Admin Services: Facilities management, travel, office supplies, and outsourced services.
- Lead vendor identification, evaluation, negotiation, onboarding, and performance management to build a reliable and competitive vendor ecosystem.
- Manage the complete procure-to-pay (P2P) process, including purchase order issuance, budget compliance, and payment coordination with Finance.
- Own contract lifecycle management, including contract drafting, renewals, SLA monitoring, and dispute resolution.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including IT, Operations, Projects, and Finance to understand business requirements and develop effective procurement plans.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives through competitive bidding, should-cost analysis, and total cost of ownership (TCO) evaluations.
- Develop and maintain procurement dashboards and reports covering spend analysis, savings, vendor performance, and procurement cycle times.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, approval processes, and governance standards across all categories.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to support business growth and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is preferred.
- 8–12 years of procurement experience with proven ownership of CAPEX, IT, and project-based procurement.
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, logistics, or other fast-paced operational environments is highly preferred.
- Strong track record of vendor negotiations, cost savings, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with procurement/ERP systems such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle Procurement, or similar platforms.
- Good understanding of contract fundamentals, commercial terms, and risk management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel and procurement analytics/reporting tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
