We are now seeking an experienced and commercially minded technology leader to join us at the founding stage and
take ownership of the product and technology function.
The Opportunity
This is not a conventional software-development position.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Founder and CEO to transform the RevoPay vision into a secure, compliant and commercially successful fintech product.
You will lead product planning, technology architecture, software development, payment integrations, cybersecurity and the recruitment of the initial technical team.

Key Responsibilities
- Translate the RevoPay business vision into a clear product strategy and development roadmap
- Prepare detailed product requirements and technical specifications
- Design a secure, reliable and scalable technology architecture
- Lead the development of the RevoPay mobile application, web platform and merchant dashboard
- Manage integrations with banks, payment gateways, QR payment providers and other financial partners
- Build systems for invoicing, payment links, recurring billing, reconciliation and transaction reporting
- Recruit, manage and mentor the initial software-development team
- Evaluate and manage external development agencies and technology suppliers where required
- Establish appropriate cloud, cybersecurity, backup and disaster-recovery infrastructure
- Implement role-based access controls, audit logs, encryption and security-monitoring processes
- Work with banking, legal, compliance and commercial partners
- Ensure the platform is designed in accordance with relevant data-protection, payment and financial-sector requirements
- Manage product testing, quality assurance and controlled pilot launches
- Take responsibility for product delivery, technical performance, availability and continuous improvement
- Present technical plans, budgets, risks and progress updates to the Founder and senior stakeholders
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline
- At least seven years of experience in software engineering, product development or technology leadership
- At least three years of relevant experience in fintech, digital banking, payments, financial services or payment-platform development
- Experience building or integrating mobile applications, web platforms and APIs
- Practical experience with payment gateways, banking APIs, QR payments or transaction-processing systems
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and secure software-development practices
- Experience designing scalable system architecture
- Experience leading developers, product teams or outsourced technology partners
- Understanding of transaction reconciliation, payment settlements, refunds and financial reporting
- Strong product-management and project-delivery capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
- The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A strong sense of ownership, integrity and commercial awareness

First 90 Day Objectives
The successful candidate will be expected to
- Finalise the RevoPay product requirements document
- Recommend the technology stack and system architecture
- Prepare the MVP development roadmap and delivery budget
- Develop the payment and banking integration strategy
- Establish the initial cybersecurity and data-protection framework
- Recommend the internal recruitment and outsourcing structure
- Support discussions with banks, payment providers and technology partners
- Prepare the product for controlled internal and external pilot testing
