Are you reliable, hardworking, and looking for a stable role in a dynamic distribution environment? We are a leading wholesale distributor of high-quality fabrics and garment items seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Delivery Drivers and Loading/Unloading Persons.
We are writing to introduce our company, Orinma International (Pvt) Ltd, a wholesale business based in Maharagama, Sri Lanka, specializing in the import of high-quality ready-made garments and fabric materials from India and China. We are currently engaged in wholesale distribution only and supply a wide range of products including all clothing and fabric items.
We're looking for professional drivers to ensure the safe and timely delivery of our textile products to clients across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles (trucks, vans, etc.) to transport fabrics and garments to wholesale customers and retail locations.
- Manage delivery schedules efficiently and prioritize routes to meet strict deadlines.
- Ensure all loads are properly secured, and delivery manifests are accurately completed and signed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or repair issues immediately.
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery and maintain a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods as needed.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (specify class if necessary, e.g., Class C or D).
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably in a wholesale or distribution setting.
- Familiarity with local delivery routes and a strong sense of direction.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) as part of the loading/unloading process.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
