Factory Manager | Mathugama Industrial Zone
Our client, a pioneering Sri Lankan manufacturing company, is seeking a result-oriented and self- motivated leader to take on the challenges of the following position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the factory operations teams to achieve KPIs. Ensure all supporting functions provide the necessary support to the factory operations
- Ensure Quality Assurance and Control, maintain a Zero Defects culture and sustain SLS Certifications as per approved specifications
- Champion the ISO Quality Management System and retain accreditations for the factory
- Drive factory and product cost reduction to sustain competitiveness. Identify process improvements to reduce waste, defects and downtime
- Ensure all machines (extruders, injection molding, mixers, chillers, compressors, etc.) are properly maintained and serviced on schedule
- Enforce health, safety and environment requirements in the workplace
- Ensure all operations comply with factory safety standards / environmental regulations and promote safe working practices
- Develop and sustain team capability by effective recruitment, delegation, training and coaching on safety, quality, productivity improvement, etc.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering from a recognized institute.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment and 2years in a similar capacity.
- PVC extrusion and injection moulding experience is mandatory.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage teams and achieve operational KPIs.
- Sound knowledge of production planning, process control and factory management using ERP and other systems.
- Working knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mind-set.
