Verbum TV is calling passionate “Trainee Technical Assistant” join us on a journey of faith, hope, and purpose!
We’re seeking a Trainee Technical Assistant who is within 1 hour of traveling distance to our Thewatte, Ragama office. If you’re pursuing or already hold a degree or diploma in related field, this is your chance to be part of something extraordinary.
Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up and operating broadcast equipment (cameras, audio, lighting)
- Support live telecasts and recorded programs
- Identify and report technical faults promptly and troubleshoot basic technical issues and report faults
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems and broadcast equipment.
- Maintain records and related documentation.
- Ensure studio and equipment are kept organized and functional
Requirements
- Passed the GCE (A/L) Examination
- National Diploma in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering / NVQ / Diploma / Certificate in Electronics, Electrical, IT, Broadcast Technology, or related field (preferred)
- Prior experience in a similar role and or related field will be an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of broadcasting systems is an advantage
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and work in field environments
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Skilled in MS Office Package, OBS Studio, Vmix, social media Live Streaming will be an added Advantage.
- Preferably, located 1 Hour traveling distance to Ragama, Thewatta area.
- Male candidates are preferred for this role.
