Quality Assurance Engineer
The Role We’re looking for a QA Engineer to join our Colombo office. You'll own the testing lifecycle across our products — writing structured test cases, logging, and tracking defects, and making sure nothing ships broken. You'll work closely with developers and stakeholders, so clear thinking and clear writing matter as much as technical skill.
What You'll Do
- Write, maintain, and execute structured test cases using QMetry on JIRA
- Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing across web and desktop-based products
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence
- Collaborate with developers to clarify requirements and validate fixes
- Contribute to test planning and help define acceptance criteria early in the development cycle
- Produce clean, structured QA documentation — test plans, test reports, sign-off checklists
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of QA/testing experience in a software product environment
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and QMetry (or a comparable TMS with a willingness to adapt)
- Strong instinct for exploratory testing — you find issues before users do
- Ability to write test cases that are precise, reproducible, and well-structured
- Clear written communication — your bug reports and docs don't need a follow-up conversation
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 products (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel add-ins)
- Experience testing browser extensions, Office add-ins, or desktop integrations
- Basic understanding of APIs and ability to do light API testing (Postman or equivalent)
