We need experienced piggery specialists and caring persons to run pig farming operations on our farm.
Piggery Specialist/ caring person Work List
Breeding :
- Select and manage breeding stock
- Monitor heat cycles and mating schedules.
- Record breeding dates, farrowing schedules
Animal Health & Welfare :
- Conduct routine health checks and vaccinations.
- Monitor for diseases (swine fever, respiratory issues, parasites).
- Maintain biosecurity protocols (disinfection, visitor control).
- Ensure proper housing, ventilation, and temperature control.
Feeding & Nutrition:
- Formulate balanced diets for piglet
- Manage feed storage and distribution.
- Monitor feed conversion ratios (FCR).
- Adjust rations based on growth stage and health needs.
Piglet Management
- Assist with farrowing and provide neonatal care.
- Perform tasks like teeth clipping, tail docking.
- Monitor mortality rates and growth performance.
Housing & Environment
- Maintain pens, flooring, and waste management systems.
- Ensure proper ventilation and lighting.
- Manage stocking density to reduce stress and aggression.
- Oversee manure disposal and odor control.
Record Keeping & Data Management
- Track breeding, growth rates, feed usage, and health treatments.
- Maintain production records for performance analysis.
- Report mortality, morbidity, and productivity statistics.
Marketing & Economics
- Plan pig sales
- Monitor market prices and demand trends.
- Ensure compliance with meat quality standards.
- Optimize production costs vs. profit margins.
Training & Supervision
- Train farm workers on pig handling and welfare.
- Supervise daily routines (feeding, cleaning, monitoring).
- Implement safety measures for workers.
- Coordinate with veterinarians and nutritionists.
