Location: Head Office (Colombo 14)
As an Office Assistant, you will support the company's day-to-day administrative and operational activities by handling official document delivery and collection, coordinating courier services, carrying out banking-related errands, and conducting external visits in a timely, secure, and professional manner. This role requires a high level of responsibility, punctuality, confidentiality, and accountability, as you will be entrusted with handling sensitive company, financial, legal, and operational documents while representing the company professionally when dealing with banks, regulators, service providers, branches, and other external stakeholders. You will report to the Manager - Administration and work closely with internal departments to ensure the smooth and reliable delivery of services.
The ideal candidates should possess the following profile:
THE JOB ROLE
- Deliver and collect letters, documents, parcels, and courier items between the Head Office, branches, banks, and external parties.
- Attend to banking-related errands and assigned document submissions and collections.
- Support postal services, courier handling, and internal document distribution.
- Handle confidential financial, legal, and operational documents with care and accountability.
- Represent the company professionally when visiting banks, regulatory authorities, and business partners.
- Use the company motorcycle responsibly and comply with designated routes, GPS tracking, attendance requirements, and company policies.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Basic literacy and the ability to understand operational instructions.
- Ability to ride a motorbike; possession of a valid motorbike riding license is mandatory.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to handle confidential documents with integrity and care.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with document handling, delivery, and basic record-keeping processes.
- Proficiency in Sinhala and English is required; proficiency in Tamil will be considered an added advantage.
