POSITION OVERVIEW
The Mechanic – Marine & Civil Construction will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing heavy construction machinery, marine equipment, and support vehicles to ensure uninterrupted project operations.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 10 years working with heavy construction equipment
- NVQ/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Heavy Equipment Maintenance
- Age - 25 to 50 years
- Language - Sinhala required; English is an advantage
- Computer Skills - Basic computer literacy
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform preventive maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults.
- Maintain service records.
- Conduct routine inspections.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns.
- Ensure machinery operates safely.
- Coordinate spare parts requirements.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Attention to detail.
- Teamwork and reliability.
