Technical Officer - Marine & Civil Construction

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Technical Officer Marine & Civil Construction will provide technical support for marine and civil construction projects by assisting with planning, site coordination, quality control, technical documentation, and project execution to ensure works are completed according to specifications and project schedules.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years experience in marine, civil, or infrastructure construction projects
- Education Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Age 25 to 45 years
- Language Fluent in English (written and spoken); Sinhala/Tamil will be an added advantage
- Computer Skills Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, MS Project, and engineering software
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Project Managers and Site Engineers in project execution.
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
- Coordinate inspections and quality assurance activities.
- Monitor material usage and site productivity.
- Assist in quantity measurements and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Strong technical knowledge of marine and civil construction.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
