PURCHASING EXECUTIVE | MOUNT LAVINIA
About the Company Tradlanka Agricultural Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd., established in 1988, is an ISO22000, HACCP, and GMP Certified Food Processor. They are a leading exporter of Sri Lankan rice, spices, and coconut products to over 25 countries, featuring the ARIYA brand.
Job Responsibilities
- Research potential vendors and maintain a wide supplier database.
- Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers.
- Negotiate contract terms, agreements, and pricing.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
- Review the quality of purchased products.
- Enter order details (vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.
- Maintain updated records of purchases, delivery information, and invoices.
- Prepare purchase reports, including cost analyses.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.
Requirements and Skills
- Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices, including researching and evaluating vendors.
- Experience with an ERP System and MS Word packages.
- Understanding of supply chain procedures.
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to create financial reports.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Qualification in Logistics, Business Administration, or a relevant field is an advantage.
- Applicants should live in close proximity to Mount Lavinia.
