Quantity Surveyor

HAVE YOU GOT WHAT IT TAKES ?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs, contracts, and budgets while ensuring value for money and compliance with company standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, preparation of BOQs, project valuations, and coordinating with contractors and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for construction projects.
- Monitor project costs and ensure projects are completed within budget.
- Evaluate contractor quotations and negotiate contract terms.
- Prepare tender documents and analyze bids received from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Conduct site visits and measurements to verify work completed.
- Prepare interim valuations, variation orders, and final accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of project costs and contractual documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.
- Prepare periodic cost reports and provide recommendations for cost control.
Requirement
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Sound knowledge of construction contracts, costing, and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office and quantity surveying software.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Membership in IQSSL or relevant professional body will be an added advantage.
