Boarding Officer
The Chandling Boarding Officer is responsible for ensuring efficient ship supply operations by coordinating deliveries, handling documentation, and liaising with vessels, port authorities, and logistics teams. The role focuses on delivering high-quality service, maintaining customer satisfaction, and ensuring full compliance with company policies and port regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrange and coordinate timely delivery of provisions, stores, and supplies to vessels in port or at anchorage
- Board vessels to liaise with the Master and crew regarding service requirements
- Handle, verify, and maintain accurate documentation, including invoices and delivery notes
- Coordinate with port authorities, ship agents, and internal logistics teams to ensure smooth operations
- Resolve onboard service-related issues promptly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain strong working relationships with ship owners, agents, and port officials
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Age: Below 25 years Boys
- Education: Successful completion of GCE Advanced Level Examination
- Experience: Prior experience in ship chandling, maritime operations, port services, or a shipping agency will be an advantage
- Requirements: Bike License
- Language Skills: Excellent communication skills in English
- Strong interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with ship crew and port authorities
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
