Accounts Executive | Colombo 15
A well-established company in the marine industry in Sri Lanka is seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounts Executive to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle full spectrum of accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements and management reports
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Manage payroll and tax-related matters (VAT, PAYE, etc.)
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Coordinate with auditors and support audit processes
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Age 30 - 45 years
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in a similar role
- AAT qualification (fully completed – all 3 stages); part/fully qualified in CA/CIMA/ACCA will be an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Sri Lankan financial regulations
- Excellent proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
- Very fluent in English (both written and spoken)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Additional Attributes:
- Experience in the marine/shipping/logistics sector will be a distinct advantage
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
