R&D Engineer | Homagama
Location: Factory (Homagama)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical wiring accessories, lighting products, switchgear and fans by analysing customer requirements, manufacturing methods, materials and suppliers
- Develop test prototypes, coordinate product verification/certification testing and analyse test results/customer feedback for product compliance and corrective actions
- Initiate and execute product development and automation projects with respective suppliers and internal teams
- Develop R&D processes in accordance with ISO standards and champion the Polycrome Management System
- Facilitate technical guidance to other functional teams
Candidate Profile:
- BSc Engineering or equivalent qualification in the electrical or electronic streams. Project management qualifications will be an advantage.
- 2-3 years experience with similar responsibilities.
- Polymer, LED lighting or electronics experience will be an advantage
- Proficiency in 3D designing using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software
- Hands-on experience in PLC programming and industrial automation
- Passionate about driving innovation and environmental sustainability
- Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
