Assistant Manager / Manager – Electrical Engineer | Bandaragama
ATIRE Pvt Ltd, a leading manufacturer of industrial solid tires for global markets, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager / Manager – Electrical Engineer to lead and manage electrical and engineering operations at its manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in electrical systems, PLC and VFD control panel operations, maintenance, and process optimization, along with proven leadership capabilities in a manufacturing environment. Job Profile:
- Lead and manage electrical and engineering operations, ensuring optimal equipment reliability and minimum downtime
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and production systems
- Drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant
- Collaborate with automation teams to integrate advanced technologies and control systems
- Monitor and optimize energy consumption and implement sustainable practices
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 14064)
- Supervise and develop engineering teams, ensuring high performance and accountability
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and system records
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for procurement and technical support
- Support budgeting activities and monitor engineering-related costs
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and workplace standards
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management
Person Profile:
- Minimum 3–10 years of experience in a similar leadership role in electrical engineering/manufacturing
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or HND with relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, with hands-on expertise in maintenance, troubleshooting, and PLC & VFD control panel operations
- Experience in tire manufacturing or industrial environments is preferred
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation
- Good communication and team collaboration skills
- Financial awareness and cost control understanding
- Additional certifications in electrical engineering or industrial engineering disciplines will be an advantage
