Costing Executive

We are seeking a proactive and detail oriented Costing Executive to join the startup team at our new automotive seat belt manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and analyzing product costings to support accurate pricing decisions and ensure overall profitability.
This role involves calculating material, labor, and overhead costs, maintaining accurate costing records, and monitoring cost variances within a manufacturing environment. The Costing Executive will work closely with production, procurement, and finance teams to ensure reliable costing data while supporting effective cost control and financial reporting.
The role may require occasional travel to our sister sites in the USA and China to support product transfer activities Therefore, the ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a crossultural environment and capable of collaborating effectively with international teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare update and maintain product cost sheets for manufactured products calculating material cost, labor cost, and manufacturing overhead.
- Maintain standard cost data for products.
- Develop and verify Bills of Materials (BOM) and production routings
- Analyze cost variances between standard cost and actual cost.
- Prepare cost analysis reports for management decision-making.
- Support pricing decisions and profitability analysis.
- Assist with inventory reconciliation and stock movement transactions.
- Participate in cycle counting programs and ensure system stock matches physical inventory.
- Support month-end closing activities related to costing and inventory valuation.
- Perform data validations and cost adjustments.
- Help prepare financial and operational reports for management
- Identify cost reduction opportunities in materials and processes.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing operations.
Core Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Financer Business Administration
- 3+ years of experience in costing, finance, or manufacturing accounting.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for cost analysis.
- Knowledge of standard costing and variance analysis.
- Experience with Infor Syteline ERP system is an added advantage.
