As a Legal, HR & Admin Executive, you will manage the company's human resources, administrative, and legal compliance functions. You will handle recruitment, employee relations, HR documentation, contracts, statutory and regulatory compliance, office administration, and support management on legal matters affecting the organisation. Your legal background will be central to drafting and reviewing agreements, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advising management on employment and corporate legal matters.


Key Responsibilities

HR & Employee Relations

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment: job postings, screening, interview coordination, and onboarding.
  • Draft, review, and maintain employment contracts, offer letters, and HR policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HR databases.
  • Handle employee relations matters, grievances, and disciplinary processes in accordance with legal procedures.
  • Coordinate performance appraisal cycles and support performance management processes.
  • Manage leave administration, attendance records, and HR-related payroll inputs (EPF/ETF, PAYE).
  • Organise employee engagement activities, training sessions, and induction programmes.

Legal & Compliance

  • Draft, review, and vet company policies, NDAs, vendor agreements, MOUs, and other legal/business documents.
  • Ensure compliance with the Shop & Office Employees Act, Industrial Disputes Act, EPF/ETF regulations, Companies Act, and other applicable legislation.
  • Monitor regulatory changes relevant to HR, corporate governance, and fintech operations, and advise management accordingly.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel, regulators, and government bodies as required.
  • Support the company's compliance with CBSL regulations, AML/CFT requirements, and other statutory obligations as they relate to HR and corporate matters.
  • Maintain legal and statutory documentation, licenses, and registrations.
  • Assist with company secretarial matters and board/regulatory filings where required.

Administration

  • Oversee general office administration: procurement, facilities management, and vendor coordination.
  • Ensure office operations comply with relevant regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee, legal, and company information.
  • Assist in preparing HR, legal, and compliance reports for management.
  • Identify process improvements and perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • A Law degree (LLB), or currently reading/studying for a Law degree, or equivalent legal qualification.
  • A qualification or working knowledge in HR (CIPM, HR Diploma, or related) will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 1–2 years' experience in HR, legal, compliance, or administration-related role.
  • Sound understanding of Sri Lankan labour law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
