Lead - DevOps
Job Purpose
We are looking for a highly skilled Lead – DevOps to drive cloud-native engineering, automation, and DevOps best practices across our platforms. This role will play a key part in designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions while enabling continuous delivery and operational excellence.
The Job
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows
- Deploy and manage applications in AWS cloud environments
- Build scalable, secure, and high-availability cloud-native applications
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform & CloudFormation
- Design cloud architectures ensuring resilience, scalability, and cost efficiency
- Define and document solution architectures, workflows, and deployment standards
- Optimize applications for performance and reliability in distributed systems
- Manage deployments using Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes
- Develop serverless solutions (e.g., AWS Lambda) using Node.js, Python, or Go
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions
- Implement and enforce cloud security policies and best practices
- Manage access controls and proactively identify vulnerabilities
- Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards
- Drive DevOps best practices and technology roadmap initiatives
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies (Cloud, AI, RPA, Containerization)
- Promote knowledge sharing and provide technical guidance across teams
Entry Requirements
The Person
- Degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalent (BSc / BCS / Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 3+ years in DevOps / Cloud Engineering roles
- Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, Lambda, API Gateway)
- Hands-on experience with:
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitOps, Argo CD)
- Containers & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Programming/Scripting (Python, Node.js, Go, or Java)
- Solid understanding of:
- Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals
- Distributed cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
