About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Group Analytics & AI team. The role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions that support advanced analytics and business decision-making.
You will play a key role in managing enterprise data pipelines, enhancing data platforms, and ensuring high-quality, reliable data availability across the organization.
The Job
- Manage and maintain daily ETL processes on big data platforms
- Ensure accurate data extraction, transformation, and loading across systems
- Monitor ETL performance and troubleshoot issues while maintaining SLA commitments
- Perform revenue assurance activities and root cause analysis
- Work with business and source system owners to resolve data issues
- Design and implement ETL pipelines for new data sources
- Develop scalable data models and datamarts based on business requirements
- Automate manual processes using tools such as Informatica and big data frameworks
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data solutions
- Ensure availability and performance of BI and data platforms
- Perform system patching, upgrades, and maintenance
- Optimize data extraction queries and orchestration processes
- Maintain cloud platform security and access controls
- Define data quality, data mapping, and data cleansing rules
- Maintain data dictionaries and governance frameworks
- Ensure compliance with security standards and ISMS requirements
- Research and implement new technologies for data engineering
- Contribute to R&D initiatives and industry best practices
- Support advanced analytics and data science initiatives
- Guide and support junior data engineers and team members
- Resolve operational issues and ensure timely delivery of tasks
The Person
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in Data Engineering / ETL development
- Strong SQL and database knowledge (RDBMS, NoSQL, Data Warehousing)
- Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, OWB or similar)
- Programming experience in Python / Java / Scala
- Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Impala
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
- Familiarity with Linux environments and shell scripting
