Product Manager - Papare Digital

Job Purpose
This role oversees Sri Lanka's top sports TV channel, ensuring all content meets high standards through editing and factchecking. Responsibilities include maintaining relationships with content developers, managing live events, enhancing video content, checking promotional material, and developing content as needed.
The Job:
- Strategize and plan content along with the content strategy and planning team in order to provide smooth operations
- Pitching videos and other projects to enhance viewership and bring more viewership on TV
- Responsible to provide uninterrupted services
- Content to be edited - research and verification on each content with stats, player’s names, correct scores etc and entail calling sports bodies and receiving confirmation on score sheets and names of players and those scoring goals etc on daily basis
- Should always be updated on all activities of sports locally and internationally to implement improvements
- To ensure the quality of content need to look for language in an accurate manner
- Work on improving viewer/reader experience and work towards bringing more hits on strategizing, positioning and branding of the site
- Maintaining and working at upgrading the quality of content to maintain high quality
- Ensure to iron out the quality of work by planning training programmes in order to maintain and upgrade the quality of editing.
- Provide accurate and timely reports on quality and improvements on regular basis to facilitate decision making
- Ensure to create featured content by doing interviews and converting media releases while attending media conferences on regular basis
- Responsible to conduct high profile interviews with foreign players as at when required
- Planning and executing research content and features on regular basis is responsible for all video content will require to fact check and language check for all English content will be required to check video content of Sinhala/Tamil – fact and quality analysis of video content for site and SM and sponsored content.
The Person :
- Degree or Diploma in media
- 2+ years working experience in similar capacity.
- Knowledge in sports and media reporting.
- Good writing skills, presenting skills
- Ability to work in weekends
