Electrical Draughtsman
The Electrical Draughtsman will be responsible for preparing detailed electrical drawings and technical documentation to support engineering and project requirements. The role involves creating accurate design drawings, layouts, schematics, and as-built drawings while ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with engineers and project teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical drawings, layouts, schematics, and single-line diagrams using AutoCAD.
- Develop panel board drawings, cable routing layouts, lighting layouts, and power distribution drawings.
- Revise and update drawings in line with engineering and client requirements.
- Prepare as-built drawings and technical documentation for completed projects.
- Ensure all drawings comply with applicable standards, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with engineers, project teams, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary design information.
- Maintain accurate records of drawings and document revisions.
- Assist in preparing technical submittals and project documentation as required.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in electrical drafting and design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, panel boards, and power distribution systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
