Warehouse and Logistics Executive (Central Purchasing Unit - Habarakada)

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the unloading, inspection, and verification of all incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Supervise the timely and accurate updating of inventory records in the System.
- Manage supplier returns, credits, and discrepancy reporting.
- Implement and maintain storage strategies for goods.
- Direct the putaway process to ensure optimal space utilization and accessibility.
- Monitor warehouse cleanliness, safety, and pest control standards
- Coordinate efficient picking schedules to meet store delivery deadlines.
- Supervise packing and consolidation to ensure orders are accurately assembled and damage-free.
- Implement productivity tracking and performance improvement initiatives for picking teams.
- Support perpetual counting processes by investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies in real-time.
- Analyze inventory reports and take corrective actions to minimize shrinkage, damages, and write-offs.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of supervisors, and warehouse assistants.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Possessed a Diploma / Degree from a recognized University/ Professional Institution in Supply Chain/ Logistics or part qualification in CA Sri Lanka or CIMA.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years prior working experience in similar functional capacity.
- Should be a "go-getter" who strives to work the extra mile
- Well organized team player with flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Good communication in English and Sinhala, and well conversant with MS Excel and other office packages.
- Age should be below 35 years.
