Accountant - Revenue Operations & Receivable Management
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the end-to-end revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Lead and optimize accounts receivable operations, including invoicing, collections, and dispute resolution.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard revenue and receivable assets and data.
- Analyze revenue trends, identify potential risks, and propose strategies for improvement.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and other relevant departments to ensure accurate billing and timely collections.
- Prepare and analyze reports related to revenue, accounts receivable aging, and cash flow forecasts.
- Reconcile revenue and accounts receivable accounts, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of revenue operations and receivable management.
- Assist with external audits related to revenue and accounts receivable.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Member of CA / CIMA / ACCA would be an added advantage
- 3 years of work experience in a similar capacity, preferably with a focus on revenue operations, accounts receivable, or credit management.
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and accounts receivable best practices. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and financial standards.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills.
- Sound knowledge of relevant taxation aspects pertaining to revenue. Below 40 years of age.
