Wharf Clerk
Limited is the sole authorized distributor for MOTUL Lubricant and PUMA Tyre in Sri Lanka. We are looking for dynamic individuals to fill the position below to lead our team to the next growth face of the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and process shipping, import, and customs documents.
- Ensure timely submission to SL Customs, SLPA, and related authorities.
- Maintain accurate records of cargo clearance and documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, port/airport terminals, and airlines.
- Oversee cargo handling at Colombo & Hambantota ports.
- Ensure compliance with customs and port regulations.
- Monitor regulatory updates, tariffs, and port charges.
- Resolve clearance delays/discrepancies promptly.
- Update stakeholders on cargo status and issues.
- Maintain real-time cargo tracking and inventory records.
- Report any damage, delays, or discrepancies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- CHA holder (mandatory).
- Certification in Logistics/Supply Chain/Maritime (preferred).
- 2-3 years of experience as a Wharf Clerk.
- Familiarity with Colombo/Hambantota port operations.
- Strong knowledge of Sri Lanka Customs and CusDec processes.
