Senior Executive – Wharf

Automobile Technologies (Pvt) Ltd, the authorized agent of GAC Motor in Sri Lanka, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Executive – Wharf to join our growing team. This role is responsible for coordinating all wharf-related operations to ensure the smooth and timely clearance of imported vehicles and automotive shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate vehicle and spare parts clearance activities with shipping lines, freight forwarders, Customs and other regulatory authorities.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure timely documentation and shipment processing
- Monitor vessel arrivals, cargo movements and delivery schedules
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and all statutory requirements
- Coordinate transportation of cleared vehicles from the port to designated locations
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports related to imports and wharf operations
- Resolve operational issues promptly to minimize delays and additional costs
- Build and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, including port authorities and logistics service providers
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in wharf operations, import/export coordination, shipping, logistics or customs clearance
- Sound knowledge of Sri Lankan Customs procedures and port operations
- Strong coordination, communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
