Executive - Engineering | Ekala, Ja - Ela
Job Summary:
The Executive-Engineering is responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and reliable operation of all plant equipment, utilities, and facilities within the Alumex prime manufacturing Plant. This role involves planning and executing maintenance activities (preventive & corrective), troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce downtime. The Executive-Engineering also collaborates with production, quality, and safety teams to ensure optimal plant performance in compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements..
The main job functions of this position will include:
- Plan, schedule, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure minimum machine downtime and optimal equipment reliability.
- Manage utilities such as compressed air, water, LPG, power, and HVAC systems.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or process-related issues in plant equipment
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, efficiency, and energy usage.
- Lead Lean, Kaizen, or TPM initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Implement energy-saving measures and sustainability improvements.
- Supervise and develop maintenance technicians and engineering staff.
- Prepare regular maintenance reports, breakdown analyses, and cost summaries.
We seek a dedicated, result oriented young individual with good design engineering capabilities, communication skills and sound personal attributes for the aforementioned position.
The suitable candidate should possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field in a Reputed university in Sri lanka.
- 02 to 03 years hands on working experience in relevant field.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, PLC systems, and ERP (SAP) is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Auto Cad
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
