SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR

POSITION SUMMARY:
Northern Uni, part of the globally expanding Magick Group of Companies, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated System Administrator to maintain and enhance our enterprise IT infrastructure. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional with a solutions-driven mindset who thrives in multi-location, dynamic environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and monitor servers, networks, firewalls, and endpoint security to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Handle user and group management in Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Administer Azure AD, Intune, and other cloud-based infrastructure.
- Oversee system patching, firmware updates, endpoint protection, and data backups.
- Support ERP/SAP environments, including user management, printer integration, and coordination with relevant teams.
- Maintain and monitor CCTV, biometric attendance systems, and access control infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot Level 2 escalations and provide technical support to staff and students.
- Assist in IT procurement, vendor coordination, and project implementation.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, security best practices, and maintain proper documentation.
- Lead infrastructure audits, disaster recovery drills, and participate in performance optimization initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, implement improvements, and contribute to IT OPEX budgeting.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Required Qualifications & Experience (High-Level):
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in system administration and IT infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and GPO.
- Experience with firewalls (Fortinet, Sophos, pfSense), VPNs, VLANs, and network security.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, and AVD.
- Exposure to ERP/SAP environments, PDQ Deploy, and endpoint security platforms.
- Certifications such as Azure Administrator, MCSA/MCSE, CCNA, Fortinet NSE, Security+ are preferred.
