Consultant - Application Development and Support | Colombo
BOC IT Solutions (Pvt) Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of the Bank of Ceylon is looking for suitably qualified, experienced, dynamic and results oriented persons to fill the following position.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline obtained from a local or foreign university, recognized by UGC of Sri Lanka.
- Postgraduate qualification or certifications in banking systems will be an added advantage. (Please attach a copy with your application)
Certifications
- Professional Certification in following IT disciplines will be an added advantage
- ITIL Foundation
- ISO 9001 Awareness
- Professional certifications such as Oracle DBA, SQL Server, or relevant CBS platform training (e.g., Fiserv, Finacle, Temenos, Flexcube).
- COBIT 2019
Previous Work Experience
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in application development and support within a financial institution, with at least 7 years in a Senior Position.
- Capability to do a Cost-Benefit Analysis of IT solutions being deployed
- Proven exposure to CBS modules (e.g., Loans, Deposits, GL, Payments).
- Experience in system upgrades, patch management, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience in SQL, stored procedures, and troubleshooting application-level issues.
- Understanding of banking operations, digital channels, and regulatory compliance.
