Teaching Assistant - Faculty of Technology Department of Applied Electronics
We are seeking passionate, organized, and dedicated individuals to join our academic team as Teaching Assistants and Research Assistants. Successful candidates will contribute to excellence in teaching, learning, and research by supporting academic instruction, student engagement, and research activities within their respective disciplines.
THE ROLE
- Assist faculty members in lesson planning, preparation, classroom management, and other instructional activities.
- Support in organizing tutorial classes, laboratory sessions, and student project supervision
- while providing one-on-one academic assistance to students as required.
- Collaborate with academic staff to foster engaging and interactive learning experiences.
- Participate actively in academic events, workshops, departmental initiatives, and extracurricular activities.
REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor's Degree with Honors (First Class or Second Class - Upper Division) from a recognized university in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Electronics, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong academic knowledge of undergraduate engineering subjects and laboratory practices.
- Proficiency in preparing teaching materials, laboratory manuals, reports, and other academic documentation.
- Good organizational and administrative skills to support course coordination, examinations, laboratory management, and departmental activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with students and academic staff.
- Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, laboratory demonstrating, or academic administration will be an added advantage.
