Assistant Manager - Treasury | Head Office

Location: Head Office

As an Assistant Manager Treasury, you will be responsible for overseeing daily cash flows, liquidity planning, funding arrangements, and investment activities. You will ensure compliance with CBSL regulatory requirements, maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions, and support effective treasury reporting, repayments, audits, and regulatory reviews. You will report directly to the Senior Manager - Treasury and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support effective financial decision-making. The Job Role
  • Lead the organization's treasury back-office function, ensuring optimal liquidity, funding efficiency, and full regulatory compliance.
  • Actively participate in strategic funding and investment decisions through assisting negotiation with banks, primary dealers, and financial institutions.
  • Manage cash flows, statutory liquidity, and CBSL reporting while safeguarding a strong CRIB and compliance record.
  • Prepare and present insightful treasury reports and analyses for Board, ALCO, and IRMC to support key decisions. 
  • Strengthen financial resilience through stress testing, scenario analysis, and development of treasury talent.

Experience / Qualifications / Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification for recognized university or institute; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional qualifications such as CFA, CIMA, ACCA, or ACA will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in treasury, finance, or financial risk management.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, funding instruments, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with strong interpersonal and communication skills, complemented by exceptional negotiation abilities.
