Fire-X is seeking a high-performing Accountant for an on-site, full-time position based at head office in Colombo 07. This role offers a clear career path to the next level for an individual who consistently exceeds expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Management: Maintain accurate financial statements; prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, forecasting & budgeting.
- Operations & Compliance: Handle all financial transactions, monitor cash flow, ensure strict compliance with tax laws/regulations, and conduct internal audits.
- Strategic Insights: Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement; provide financial advice to support key decision-making.
- Collaboration: Partner with other departments to enhance overall financial management and corporate strategy.
Whom we are looking For
- Education: A degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognised university, or a professional qualification (ICASL, CIMA, ACCA, CMA – Final Level).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role (experience in the construction/engineering industry is a definite advantage).
- Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and close attention to detail.
- Work Style: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
