Job Summary:
The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supporting international marketing and export operations for Alumex PLC. The role involves managing customer communications, coordinating export documentation, and supporting business development activities with overseas clients, ensuring timely fulfilment of international orders while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
The main job functions of this position will include:
- Coordinate and support international marketing and export activities including order processing, correspondence, and follow-up with overseas customers and agents.
- Prepare, verify, and manage export documentation including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and shipping documents in compliance with international trade requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for international clients, addressing inquiries and ensuring high standards of customer service throughout the order fulfilment process.
- Liaise with internal departments including production, logistics, and finance to ensure timely delivery and accurate billing for international orders.
- Support the development and maintenance of overseas customer and agent databases, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
- Assist in preparing marketing materials, proposals, and presentations for international markets and business development activities.
- Monitor and report on international sales performance, export volumes, and market trends to support management decision-making.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping agents to ensure efficient and cost-effective international logistics.
- Handle multi-tasking demands across concurrent international accounts and projects while meeting all deadlines without compromise on quality.
The suitable candidate should possess:
- G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) qualification.
- Completion of or currently following a course in International Marketing, Export Management, or Customer Service from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in a similar role within international marketing, exports, or customer service.
- Good verbal and written proficiency in both English and Sinhala is essential; Tamil language proficiency will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced international business environment.
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Good knowledge of international trade documentation and export procedures will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
