Job Responsibilities
- Contact air export customers and deliver respective services.
- Conduct effective and efficient Freight Negotiations with air lines.
- Create a positive working relationship within the organization by adhering to the interdepartmental service agreements and ensuring all interactions are within the specified guidelines.
- Coordinate with principals, agents, vendors, carrier service providers & regulatory authorities for activities from the time of cargo receipt until delivery to final destination in order ensure an uninterrupted service level to the client.
- Coordination from the point of obtaining the booking instructions until the MAWB/HAWB issued & docs to be dispatched to the foreign station as per the stipulated time period.
- Ensure to monitor all systems such as Customer KPI reports on Daily, weekly, Monthly basis, with relevant records in an efficient and effective manner.
- Timely coordination with the El/Agents network & responding to their requirements such as, sending re-caps, monitoring & updating the status of export customs clearances.
- Obtaining credit approvals, updating Cost sheets & passing relevant information to the finance division.
- Perform duties as a designated airfreight Junior Executive and facilitate the ACV team by providing shipment details/Flight details in timely manner.
- Furnish invoices as well as all debtor outstanding lists to relevant customers on time ensuring that all timelines are met in delivering same in order to follow up and collect payments on the due dates.
- Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management.
Candidate Profile
- 6 passes with 'C' for Maths and English at the GCE O/Levels or London O/Levels AND
- 2 passes at the GCE A/Levels OR
- Successfully completion of UGC approved A/L equivalent foundation course with minimum of 1 year relevant experience.
- Good communication skills with fluency in English and Sinhala languages (written and oral)
