Training & Designing Specialist

The Training & Designing Specialist is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating impactful training programs based on adult learning (andragogical) principles. This role ensures that staff across global operations are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to meet compliance and performance standards. 
 
Key Responsibilities 
  • Training Design: Develop training materials, eLearning modules, and remedial programs aligned with adult learning methodologies. 
  • Training Delivery: Facilitate training to New hire, conduct refresher, and remedial sessions (virtual and in person). 
  • Coaching: Provide one-on-one coaching to individuals, supporting skill application in operational workflows. 
  • Evaluation: Assess training effectiveness through feedback, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Collaboration: Partner with the QA Manager to address gaps identified in quality assurance reviews. 
  • Governance: Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) end-to-end, including content administration, audits, and reporting. 
 
Accountabilities 
  • Deliver training programs that meet agreed completion and satisfaction targets. 
  • Process a sampled target of alerts/items across all capabilities (Transactions Monitoring, Payment Screening, Customer Due Diligence) while maintaining high quality standards on a quarterly basis. 
  • Handle multiple projects and cohorts simultaneously, acting as Subject Matter Expert (SME). 
  • Support the revision, maintenance, and delivery of existing courses and operational manuals. 
  • Develop assessments, knowledge checks, and quizzes to measure effectiveness of trainings. 
  • Contribute to customer service soft skills training and coaching initiatives. 
  • Establish and maintain an annual process for content review and updates. 
  • Provide accurate reporting on training outcomes to the Head of Quality Assurance and Training. 
  • Drive measurable improvements in staff capability, confidence, and compliance performance. 
 
Skills & Competencies 
  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories, instructional design methodologies, and design principles. 
  • Strong instructional design and facilitation skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. 
  • Proficiency in eLearning platforms and MS Office 365. 
  • Coaching and mentoring capability. 
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with effective task prioritization. 
 
Knowledge & Experience 
  • 3–5 years’ experience in training, learning & development within financial services (essential). 
  • Demonstrated expertise in adult learning methodologies (andragogy). 
  • ICA Diploma or equivalent certification (preferred). 
  • Technical competence in financial crime prevention (KYC/AML). 
  • Proficiency in instructional design tools such as Articulate, Storyline, Captivate, Vyond, Camtasia, and Adobe Suite (desirable). 
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, Outlook). 
  • Experience with video creation and editing tools (preferred).
