Speech Therapist
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities post-surgery.
- Closely work with healthcare team to discuss patient care plans and share progress updates.
- Create individualized therapy plans based on assessment results and patients’ specific recovery goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to improve communication skills, language development, and swallowing function.
- Educate patients and their families on strategies for effective communication, swallowing techniques, and rehabilitation exercises.
- Regularly track and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery and achievement of goals.
- Work closely with physicians, occupational therapists, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Speech - Language Therapy
- Should be registered with the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC)
Salary : LKR 60,000 – 100,000
