Quantity Surveyor
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparing, negotiating and analyzing costs for tenders and contracts
- Preparing & reviewing tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, progress claims and payment certificates
- Liaising with the client and other construction professionals such as project managers, engineers, consultants etc.
- Handling Monthly progress bills from the point of measuring the work up to the point of receipt of payment
- Advising on a range of legal, contractual and sensitive issues
- Be responsible to ensure that all operations are carried out to control costs, maximizing value, minimizing future liabilities and maintaining the required standard of quality
- Provide reports on actual costs vs estimate, identifying underlying reasons for any variance, in particular highlight, challenge & resolve variance to latest plans
- Provide general forecasting & estimating and performing budgetary controls.
REQUIREMENTS:
- B.SC in Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in relevant field.
- Experience in MEP construction is mandatory.
- Excellent knowledge of cost controlling activities.
- Excellent communication both verbal and written skills in English
- The selected candidate will be required to work at our project site in Maldives.
