Delivery Rider & Sales Representative - Dental Supplies Delivery | Colombo / Gampaha / Kalutara
Colombo Dental Labs is a leading dental laboratory and supply company operating under Cosmetic Dentistry (Pvt) Limited. We supply dental materials, prosthetics, and equipment to dental clinics across the Western Province. We are looking for energetic, reliable, and motivated individuals to join our delivery and sales team.
This is more than a delivery role — candidates with a flair for sales and building client relationships can earn additional commission income and accelerate their career within the Company.

- Working Days - Monday – Friday (5 days) + Saturday (half-day)
- Working Hours - Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Office Presence - Must be in office by 9:00 AM daily; available until 6:00 PM
- Age Requirement - 19 – 30 years
- Own Motorcycle - Mandatory — valid licence and registered vehicle required
- Basic Salary - LKR 50,000 per month
- Petrol Allowance - Provided (motorcycle use for Company deliveries)
- Motor Bike Allowance - Monthly allowance for use of own motorcycle
Compensation & Benefits
Basic Salary
LKR 50,000/month Fixed basic salary, paid monthly by bank transfer. Salary review applies for high-performing candidates with demonstrated sales ability.
Motorcycle Allowance
Monthly fixed allowance paid for use of own motorcycle on Company duties
Petrol Allowance
Fuel costs for all Company deliveries and pickups reimbursed in full against submission of fuel receipts or as a fixed monthly fuel allowance
Sales Commission
5% Commission On every confirmed order received and successfully completed by the Rider — no commission on standard deliveries of pre-booked orders. Delivery of existing orders carries no commission. Commission is only earned where the Rider actively contacts, pitches, and closes a new order from a client and completes delivery of that order.
There is no cap on commission earnings. Candidates with good communication skills and knowledge of dental clinics and dental professionals can earn significantly above the basic salary through commissions.
If performance and sales ability are consistently strong, the Company will review and increase the basic salary accordingly.
Overtime Pay
Overtime is payable where duties require the Rider to continue working beyond standard hours. All overtime must be pre-authorised by the immediate Supervisor. Overtime rates are cumulative:

8:00 PM – 10:00 PM
+25% premium
After 10:00 PM
10:00 PM – 12:00 midnight
+25% additional premium
After 12:00 midnight
Beyond midnight
+25% further premium
NOTE: Overtime claims must be submitted with delivery logs confirming the reason for late completion. Unauthorised late stays will not be compensated.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery & Logistics
- Collect, pack, and dispatch dental supplies, materials, and equipment from the laboratory and warehouse to dental clinics and dental professionals across Colombo, Gampaha, and Kalutara districts
- Ensure all items are delivered in perfect condition, on time, and with proper acknowledgement from the recipient — maintain a delivery confirmation record for every delivery
- Return all signed delivery notes, purchase orders, and payment collections to the office promptly upon completion of rounds
- Report any delivery exception — damaged goods, refused deliveries, incorrect addresses — to the Supervisor immediately
- Plan efficient daily delivery routes to minimise travel time and fuel costs
- Maintain the motorcycle in clean, roadworthy condition at all times; report any mechanical issues immediately
Sales & Client Relations (Commission-Eligible)
- Visit existing and prospective dental clinic clients during delivery rounds to introduce new products, promotions, and Company services
- Identify new sales opportunities and proactively generate new orders from clients
- Present product information clearly and professionally; distribute Company brochures and promotional material as provided
- Follow up on pending quotations and outstanding orders with clients
- Report client feedback, complaints, and new leads to the Supervisor on the same day
- Build strong, professional relationships with dental clinic reception staff, clinic managers, and dentists
Office & Administrative
- Be present at the office by 9:00 AM daily and remain available for dispatch until 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, and until 3:00 PM on Saturdays
- Assist with packing, labelling, and preparation of delivery items at the start of each day
- Maintain accurate daily records of all deliveries, client visits, and sales calls in the Company's delivery log
- Submit daily delivery and activity reports to the Supervisor at end of day
- Handle cash and cheque collections from clients with full accountability — all collections must be remitted to the Company on the same day
- Assist with stock receipt, counting, and storage as directed
Requirements & Qualifications
Mandatory Requirement
Age -19 to 30 years at time of application
Own Motorcycle - Must own a registered, roadworthy motorcycle in own name
Valid Licence - Valid Sri Lankan motorcycle driving licence (Class A1 or A)
Availability - Must be available in office from 9:00 AM, available for dispatch until 6:00 PM (Mon–Fri) and 3:00 PM (Sat)
Language - Sinhala is essential; conversational English and/or Tamil is an advantage
Location - Must reside within or be able to commute conveniently to Colombo for a 9:00 AM start
Smartphone - Must own an active smartphone for navigation, communication, and delivery confirmation
Preferred (Advantage)
- Prior experience in a delivery or field sales role — dental, pharmaceutical, or medical supply industry experience is a strong advantage
- Knowledge of the Colombo, Gampaha, and Kalutara road network
- Good interpersonal and communication skills — ability to speak confidently with dental professionals and clinic staff
- Basic understanding of dental products and materials (full product training will be provided by the Company)
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and work independently in a field role
Important Policies — Read Before Applying
No Third-Party Delivery App Usage During Working Hours
The use of third-party delivery or courier apps (PickMe, Uber Eats, ikman Delivery, or any similar platform) is strictly prohibited during Company working hours. Working simultaneously for another delivery service during Company hours directly compromises delivery times to our dental clinic clients and delays the Rider's return to the office — both of which are unacceptable. Any Rider found using a third-party delivery app during working hours will be subject to immediate disciplinary action, including termination. The Company's clients depend on prompt, reliable service — this commitment cannot be shared with a competing platform.
- The Rider is required to be physically present at the Company office from 9:00 AM and must not depart for external duties before receiving instructions from the Supervisor
- Saturday working hours are fixed at 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM — the Rider must be in office for the full Saturday half-day
- The Rider is personally responsible for the safekeeping of all goods, cash, and documents in their possession during deliveries
- All collections of cash or cheques from clients must be surrendered to the Company cashier on the same day — no overnight retention
- Motorcycle must be maintained in roadworthy condition at all times; the Company is not liable for traffic fines, accidents, or violation
