What will you be doing?
As Head Chef, you will take full ownership of kitchen operations while driving creativity, quality, and consistency.
Your responsibilities include:
- Leading all kitchen operations, including service, prep, and administration
- Creating and developing menus tailored to a BYOB dining experience
- Ensuring consistent production of high-quality dishes and presentation
- Managing food costs, inventory, and supplier relationships
- Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
- Recruiting, training, and leading a high-performing kitchen team
- Managing staff schedules and kitchen workflow efficiently
- Collaborating with front-of-house to deliver a seamless guest experience
- Engaging with guests when required to enhance the dining experience
- Driving innovation by staying updated with current food trends
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Creative approach to menu development
- Strong understanding of food costing and kitchen operations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Relevant culinary qualifications or equivalent experience
Preferred (but not essential):
- Experience in upscale or concept-driven restaurants
- Knowledge of food and wine pairings (ideal for BYOB dining)
- Experience building or launching menus
- Awareness of modern culinary trends
