Automobile Mechanic
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
- Do routine services: oil change, filters, fluids, lubrication, tires, brakes, battery checks.
- Repair/replace faulty engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical parts.
- Use diagnostic scanners, hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely.
- Do post-repair inspections and test drives to confirm repair quality.
- Maintain clear records: parts used, labor time, diagnostics, service history.
- Keep workshop/tools clean, organized, and follow all safety rules
Qualifications
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing cars/light vehicles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of major vehicle systems.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, lifts, and diagnostic equipment.
- Good problem-solving and fault-diagnosis skills.
- Physically fit to handle heavy parts and work in various positions.
- (Preferred) Training/qualification in automotive or mechanical field.
- Valid driving license for vehicle testing.
