Junior Executive - Finance
Dipped Products PLC seeks a dynamic, results-oriented individual to be recruited as a Junior Executive-Finance for it's Head office in Colombo.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver accurate and timely Management Information (MI) reports to support effective decision-making
- Analyzing product costing and profitability, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and margin improvement
- Assist in customer profitability analysis to support strategic business decisions.
- Assist in managing and executing month-end financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
- Assist in annual stock-taking and perform internal process audits to maintain strong inventory and operational controls.
- Assist in monitoring budget vs. actual performance, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Support forecasting and budgeting activities across departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Sales, Finance) to analyze costs and improve operational performance.
- Follow up on VAT refund processes, ensuring timely submission and recovery.
- Undertake any additional responsibilities or duties as reasonably assigned by management based on organizational need
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree specializing in Accounting/Finance from a recognized University
- Full/Part qualification in CA/CIMA is a definite advantage
- Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing and or export Industry
- Knowledge of tax regulations will be considered an added advantage
- Exposure to SAP would be a definite advantage
- An analytical mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in both team-oriented and self-directed environments
